I've watched 38 other anime series also, but compared to the ones listed above, I don't even think they really deserve my mentioning.

Manga

1. Maison Ikkoku
2. Fushigi Yugi
3. Magic Knight Rayearth
4. Sailor Moon
5. Slayers
6. Ranma 1/2

As you can probably tell by how old these all are, I read barely any manga. But I guess at least manga has a higher hit ratio I liked all six of the ones I read.

Just because they're old it doesn't mean they're bad. It's nice to see number 6.

Right now I'm watching Fullmetal Alchemist and I have to say that the manga is better so far. Dragonball & DBZ are classics but I don't think they are the best. Bleach started out great but is ok, I actually enjoyed the fillers though as opposed to Naruto's which I stopped watching after 3 episodes. Naruto Shippuuden I've stopped watching since they fought Orochimaru and Kabuto(or whatever his name is).....there are just way too many flashbacks and the animation is sloppy. Er...I guess that's it.

My Friend really like this kinda stuff so whenever I sleep at his place usually we get some fill in Anime. Naruto is pretty good. I used to watch Dragon Ball Z a lot, it was pretty good. But my Favorite anime Is Death Note. It's such a good show. Although it's only 37 twenty minute episodes long. Which I think is a shame, because it's like one of my favorite shows. I'd recomend everyone to watch it, it's just, crazy.

I just got sick of waiting for the naruto cartoon to get to the point, so read all the manga instead. Holy crap naruto is going to get dark and brutal down the track.

For anyone looking for a unique anime series that does things a little differently, I'd really recommend Kino's Journey which I just finished watching. It's a 13 episode series about a girl that travels the world on her talking motorcycle (Don't laugh!) and visits different countries for three days.

In a way each episode (With the exception of the two episode arc halfway through) is a self contained story which makes it ideal for both marathoning and watching one episode at a time. It's very enjoyable and is quite philosophical, though not in a pretentious or heavy handed way. It's definitely one I'll rewatch in the futur

I second the support of Kino's Journey. Its a very interesting, enjoyable series, and slightly unappreciated series. Its a shame its not very well known amongst anime fans...or at least the ones I know. The only problem is that Its reaaaally hard to tell Kino's gender at first...

I was never really a huge fan of anime or manga, and after hearing about that Hentai crap I despised it for a couple of years. But I'm slowly starting to like it again.
